The PowerPoint presentation is a great help when making a presentation. However, there are some fonts and rules to follow to make the PowerPoint presentation produce the best effects it can. It is always preferable to use common fonts on the presentation like Arial or Times New Roman as these fonts are found in all machines. The x-height is the height of the lowercase of long alphabets and the height of short letters like a and e.
Two fonts of the same point size have different x-heights where one font looks better than the other in the PowerPoint presentation. However, you can maintain uniformity in the presentation by making a compensation on the font having a smaller x-height. However, don’t fill slides with small sized texts. It is better to divide the content between slides to make it easier to read the slide.
Copyright and legal stuff on the PowerPoint presentation can be done in a smaller font; but make sure there is no need of squinting to read the text. Some fonts don’t permit any embedding in it. In such places, the font can be typeset using a vector graphics program like Adobe Illustrator, Xara X or Macromedia Freehand. With this, the text is exported to a capable vector format like EMF or WMF where it is imported as a graphic in PowerPoint.
PowerPoint presentations usually have dingbat bullets in them, which are interesting and fun.
