Taking a world wide poll using a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation makes it more interactive. PowerCom Software is a PowerPoint plug-in that you can use with Microsoft PowerPoint to add audience polling feature to your presentations. PowerCom has been designed to be used with Fleetwood Reply Worldwide system and supports the 100, 250, 500, 1000, or 3750 (4550 EU) Reply wireless keypads. PowerCom is simple to install, you just download the zipped file, extract the setup.exe file and run it to install the plug-in. After you install the PowerCom plug-in a polling toolbar appears on your computer with your PowerPoint presentation. PowerCom requires PowerPoint 2000 or a higher version to be installed. Also, the platform you need for PowerCom is Windows XP or Windows 2000. You also need Windows Media Player because PowerCom provides an option of adding polling music to your presentation. Also you need Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher, and serial and USB ports for the Fleetwood Reply Worldwide system.
If you want to use the PowerCom Software plug-in to take an audience poll using your PowerPoint presentation then create a slide and type in the question on which you want to take a poll. Then, click the toolbar icon to insert the PowerCom Poller. This will launch a 4-step wizard which you will follow to insert the Poller. Also, ensure that you keep space after the question you have typed on the slide for the graph that will display the polling result. The 4-step wizard allows you to enter the multiple choice answers for your question and also allows you to enter a correct answer (if any) in case you are creating a quiz. The wizard also allows you to specify the type of graph you want to display with the audience poll. After you are done with the wizard, you click the Finish button as the last step and PowerCom creates an empty graph on your screen. You can then position the graph where you want. You can then also create several copies of the Poller.
After you have given your presentation and collected the audience poll data, PowerCom allows you generate different types of reports. PowerCom makes use of Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel formats to generate these reports.
