So if PowerPoint is not behind used in the presentation, it is important that you use your creativity in the presentation. This is to keep the audience interested and motivated during the course of the presentation.

When making a presentation without PowerPoint, you have to be well versed on your topic to make it presentable to the audience. When making your presentation, make sure you understand the nature and temperament of the audience. Make the presentation meet the intellectual of the audience you face, and not treat the audience as a group of employees.

When making a presentation, start it while keeping the end of the presentation in mind. You have to hear, feel and see exactly what you want people to respond to during the presentation. You have to have a strong start to the presentation as this is what will set the right tone for the audience to listen to you throughout your presentation. Telling a story or an anecdote has been proven universally to help make a connection with the audience.

Practice on your presentation well so that you look well versed on the topic when speaking. Don’t think that PowerPoint slides in your presentation will make you a dynamic speaker; it only helps you in your presentation. Becoming a dynamic speaker basically lies in your hands; with enough practice. Practice using bits where you practice a small part of the speech over and over again till perfect. You needn’t practice word for word; just walk through the entire presentation so that you can continue with the presentation if disturbed in the middle of the presentation.

Use props if you are not using PowerPoint in the presentation. Props are worth a thousand words which people anchor their minds to. The size of the prop does not matter; it just has to relate to the point you want to make, and is visible by the audience. Providing solutions to problems the audience has also keeps the audience attracted to the presentation, even if you don’t use PowerPoint. Do some research on the audience, find their problems and then think of solutions for these problems.

Without any visual aid, you become the visual aid of your presentation. People gain interest in you and what you say instead of visuals or fancy slides and overheads. So without PowerPoint, you have to be more confident and well versed in your speech; otherwise you will never be able to give your presentation without any PowerPoint.
